PURPOSE
PURPOSE
Level 1
The skills in this qualification range from a range of subjects, such as Planning and Construction, Construction Trades, Numeracy and Literacy. This complements workshop-related activities. This qualification stimulates the process of learning through interpreting situations and allows students to take an active approach to problem-solving.
Level 2
This qualification focuses on the acquisition of theoretical and practical knowledge and skills. Students will learn more about the Construction Trades by building garden furniture and a timber deck. Literacy and Numeracy is also embedded in this programme

After completion of these two qualifications graduates may choose to continue their education with the New Zealand Certificate in Building, Construction, and Allied Trades Skills (Level 3), or with other qualifications relevant to the construction environment.
