PURPOSE

Purpose

These two qualifications targets South Auckland youth who wish to develop their computing and media design skills. The programme aspires for graduates to be empowered to make confident and positive contributions to their own lives, whanau and communities.

Graduates will be able to:

Use basic digital technologies to produce and process information, and operate with a range of skills that are internationally relevant for beginner/intermediate level roles and work as responsible digital citizens.

Use common software tools and technologies to produce brochures and flyers, web and multimedia presentations, as well as business and organisation reports which integrate database, spreadsheet, text, and media elements with fundamental media and layout design skills.

Find solutions to real business, organisational and community-initiated problems, adhering to the requirements of stated briefs and compliance requirement.
