Koe Mokai Ako
This programme is based on the Māori and Pacific holistic health models Te Whare Tapa Wha and FonoFale. It focuses on equipping our rangatahi with the foundational literacy and numeracy skills of Reading, Writing, Maths and Speaking.
The stigma of having low levels of literacy and numeracy is a learning barrier for most people. This can affect their self-confidence or motivation to participate or move forward in their life. Students are assessed on their literacy and numeracy ability when they enrol before an individual learning plan is developed to meet their learning needs and goals.
*Quality Education Services (QES) is a trading name for the registered Private Training Establishment Skills Update Training and Education Group (Skills Update). Your enrolment is with Skills Update and your qualification is issued by Skills Update.

Literacy and Numeracy skills for life
Our programme not only equips our rangatahi with the foundation literacy skills to progress into future NZQA
qualification programmes, but more importantly develops them holistically, making them better citizens of Aotearoa.
Our programme features a small class size of 10 students, giving plenty of opportunity for one to one support.
We specialise in transitioning our Koe Mokai Ako graduates into further education and training programmes.
“With many worldly distractions, it is important to remember that the pursuit of knowledge (and eventually wisdom) is
